Summary. On December 1, 2019, the academic community commemorated the 120^th birthday anniversary of Academician Rostislav Evge­nievich Kavetsky, the famous oncologist and pathophysiologist, the founder of the Ukrainian school of experimental oncology, the organizer and the first director of the Institute that now bears his name.
