ONCOPROTEIN EXPRESSION PREDICTS RESPONSE TO RADIOTHERAPY OR THERMORADIOTHERAPY IN HUMAN CERVICAL CANCERSummary. The levels of Bax and Bcl-2 expression after 10.8 Gy radiotherapy are useful prognostic markers in patients with human cervical carcinoma. Thermoradiotherapy was found to result in better treatment responses than radiotherapy for patients with stage IIIB cervical carcinoma. An additive or synergistic antitumor effect of thermoradiotherapy is likely to occur through induction of apoptosis involving one of the bax pathways. No Comments » Add comments |
