INFLUENCE OF MECHANOCHEMICALLY MODIFIED DOXORUBICIN AND IRRADIATION WITH FREQUENCY 40 MHz ON DOXORUBICIN-RESISTANT GUERIN’S CARCINOMATodor I.N.1, Mikhailenko V.M.1, Danko M.I.2, Dzyatkovskaya N.N.2
Summary. According to the data of 1Н NMR-spectroscopy the chemical structure of mechanochemically modified doxorubicin (MCM-DR) remains unaltered but is characterized by increased time constant of a spin-spin relaxation (T2). In MCM-DR solution the increase of concentration of monovalent and divalent positively charged ions was registered. Whilst the chemotherapy with the use of officinal doxorubicin (OF-DR) had no effect in doxorubicin-resistant Guerin’s carcinoma, administration of OF-DR and total irradiation with frequency 40 MHz resulted in 22 ± 7% decrease of tumor volume on 19-th day after tumor inoculation. We showed also that total irradiation did not influence antitumor effect of MCM-DR; treatment with MCM-DR alone and in combination with irradiation results in 52 ± 4% decrease on the volume of doxorubicin-resistant Guerin’s carcinoma in comparison with control group and OF-DR-treated animals.
