ANTIOXIDANT ENZYME ACTIVITIES IN THE CELLS OF SOLID AND ASCITIC EHRLICH CARCINOMAS
Activities of antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione transferase and glutathione reductase) in Ehrlich carcinoma cells on different growth phase of solid and ascitic tumors were studied. It has been shown that the levels of activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase in ascitic tumors were lower than those in solid ones. Stationary phase of tumor cell growth was characterized by increased activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione transferase compared to logarithmic phase.
