DETECTION OF HERPES VIRUS TYPE 1 ANTIGEN IN LYMPHOCYTES AND TUMOR TISSUE OF PATIENTS WITH CANCER OF UTERUS
The data on the detection of the late antigen of herpes simplex virus (HSV) in patients with carcinoma of corpus uteri (CCU) are presented. It is shown that the HSV antigen was found in lymphocytes of CCU patients in 72% of cases, in erythrocytes – in 66% of cases, in tumor tissue – in 50% of cases and in the tissues adjacent to the tumor – in 17% of cases. In the control group (patients with acute herpetic infection and high titers of antiherpetic immunoglobulins) the antigen of HSV was found only in 23% and 17% of cases in lymphocytes and erythrocytes, respectively. At the same time in patients with fibromyoma of the uterus the parameters of HSV infection in lymphocytes and erythrocytes did not differ from those in the control group.
