THE INFLUENCE OF ANTITUMOR VACCINES OF IEPOR SERIES ON TNF, IL-1 AND IL-2 PRODUCTION IN LEWIS LUNG CARCINOMA BEARING MICE

Summary. The comparative research of the influence of antitumor vaccination on TNF, IL-1 and IL-2 production in Lewis lung carcinoma bearing mice was carried out. In the study, vaccines prepared from homologic tumor cells and filtrate of culture medium (FCM) of В. subtilis АВ-56 (vaccine 1) or lectin-containing FCM (vaccine 2) were used. It has been shown that vaccine 1 administration resulted in significant but transitory activation of cytokine production and cytotoxic activity of NK cells and MЖ at early terms of tumor growth. Blood sera of animals vaccinated by vaccine 1 raised in vitro the activity of MЖ from intact animals but didn’t influence the activity of NK cells. Administration of vaccine 2 resulted in activation of TNF, IL-1 and IL-2 production at late terms. Blood sera of animals vaccinated by vaccine 2 increased in vitro the cytoxicity index of autologic NK cells and MЖ (autologic ones as well as received from intact animals). The peculiarities of cytokine production dynamics and NK cells and MЖ activities upon the use of vaccine 2 correllated with more pronounced antimetastatic action of mentioned vaccine.
