ANTITUMOR EFFECT OF ACUTE HYPEROXIAAkatov V.S., Korystov Yu.N., Kublik L.N., Levitman M.Kh., Shaposhnikova V.V., Lezhnev E.I. Effect of acute hyperoxia on growth of adenocarcinoma-755 (Ca-755) and Ehrlich carcinoma was examined. The exposure of tumor-bearing mice to normobaric atmosphere of oxygen or carbogen (95% O2 or 5% CO2 ) for 2 h inhibited the tumor growth. Tumor growth inhibition varied from 30% up to 98% depending on hyperoxia modes. The double hyperoxia treatment with two-day interval resulted in significant increase in lifetime of mice bearing Ca-755. No Comments » Add comments |
